Significant Others, or Sig O, is Northwestern University’s premier all-female a cappella group. We take this responsibility very seriously.

 These are the words I'm putting in white text on our home page to boost our google search results; as such they will read as though I translated them from Chinese. Significant Others A Cappella is Northwestern University's sole all female a cappella group; we would bemoan the lack of all girls a cappella options on campus, but honestly Sig O all girls a cappella at Northwestern University is too damn special to care. Sig O's, as we like to be called, hail from all schools within Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois (on the outskirts of Chicago) and while our other interests vary, our primary passion is for singing contemporary pop songs, choral medleys, and everything in between  with women in our lovely all girls acapella (a cappella? acappella? acapela? accappella? not the acafellas, for certain) group here at Northwestern University. We don't like to be called The Significant Others, or The Sig O, because a. that sounds dumb, and b. it seems inappropriate for an all girls a cappella group at Northwestern University,  particularly one whose name was originally intended (please god = don't let me be part of a group intended to be called "the girlfriends) as a critique of the systemic devaluation of all female a cappella as less interesting, less compelling, and less worthwhile than all male a cappella.  Significant Others, or Sig O, Northwestern's premier all female a cappella group, rejects this premise. And sings Ke$ha.  It's complicated. Isn't SEO the worst?
